President Trump back at the start of the month told NFL players that they could call, write or visit and tell him who he could pardon.
Some NFL players went up on that offer, but instead took it to the failing NYT and gave no solutions and instead blamed the President.
Players Doug Baldwin, Anquan Boldin, Malcolm Jenkins and Benjamin Watson write, “President Trump, Here’s Whom You Should Pardon”
They start by saying how many long term prison sentences there are, and brought up Alice Johnson, who President Obama’s could’ve done something about, but never did.
It’s perfectly fine and their right for NFL players to fight for justice, inequality and rights but when you show bias and not talk about the previous administration for doing nothing about prison reform, it’s hard to take them seriously.
President Trump and his daughter has talked about Prison reform, something these players NEVER mentioned.
They’re calling on the President to do something when he’s not the only one in power of office. Why didn’t they try to set up an appointment at the White House? Why did they take it to the New York Times?
